Beaches Town Center is the hub of action and excitement in the city. In the center of Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach, Beaches Town Center is located where Atlantic Boulevard meets the ocean. Boutiques, restaurants, and fitness centers populate the attraction, and many events take place there throughout the year.

Beaches Town Center is involved in events like the North Beaches Artwalk. The great beach scenery of Florida is definitely appreciated in the North Beaches Artwalk. Local art galleries, that specialize in beach-themed and other art, host an art walk every third Thursday evening of the month. Locally famous artists like potters, Tim Bullard and Melanie Harris, and photographers, Aracelia Diaz and Mark Kowal, have art featured in the 20 or so galleries like the Adele Grage Cultural Center and the Artistree Gallery located on the art walk.

Parks and recreation are well-maintained in Atlantic Beach. As the home to almost ten parks, Atlantic Beach provides ample opportunity for a pick-up tennis match, nature viewing on a hike, or a breezy afternoon picnic. The atmosphere of Atlantic Beach is very laid-back, but heart of the city is less than 15 miles away from Jacksonville, so for exciting nightlife, to catch a Jacksonville Jaguars NFL game, or for a fine dining experience, head to the nearby booming city.
