Hot Springs, Arkansas is known for just that, hot springs, which always says one really great thing to travelers: spas! Hot Springs National Park is the oldest Federal Reserve in the country and has water that flows naturally at almost 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Near Hot Springs National Park are the city’s very affordable spas . They exist in droves in this city, and offer all of the usual luxuries, like massages and facials, and some local treatments like mineral baths . Hot Springs National Park is lined with Bathhouse Row , a row of historic buildings. Two of the bathhouses are still in working order and can be visited by citizens and tourists alike who believe that mineral water is close enough to a fountain of youth for them.
 
Visitors can also keep themselves young by walking one of Hot Springs’ many scenic walking trails .
 
The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival , a very well- respected festival throughout the world, is usually held towards the end of April, a time of the year when Hot Springs’ weather and atmosphere is at its best.
 
Another great attraction is Oaklawn Park , home of the Racing Festival of the South towards the end of April as well. The fact that this thoroughbred racetrack , that has been in operation since 1904, exists in Hot Springs really rounds out the city as a perfect couple’s retreat—spas for the ladies and races for the men!
