As the capital city of Arkansas, Little Rock has a lot to offer. As the city’s namesake, la Petite Roche is one of the Little Rock’s must-see landmarks. This is the cluster of small rocks on the bank of the Arkansas River that once served as a defining landmark of the city when rivers were still used as a major form of transportation.
 
Other great landmarks along the Arkansas River are the Arkansas River Trail and the William J. Clinton Presidential Center. The Clinton Center is the home to millions of documents and artifacts from Bill Clinton’s presidency, and also the home of the Clinton Foundation. It even has a room that looks identical to the Oval Office when Clinton was president.
 
Also, down by the river, exists Little Rock’s nightlife. The River Market District is lined with all of the city’s enchanting bars and restaurants, and can never be found without live and local entertainment. The River Market District is also great in the daytime as it’s close to the Old State House and museums like the Clinton Center and the Museum of Discovery.
 
For cultural entertainment, Little Rock has the Arkansas Arts Center, which is the state’s biggest cultural center. It is an arts museum, whose permanent collection focuses on drawings from such notable artists as Picasso, Degas, and Rembrandt, and it also serves as a performing arts center that has regular contests for artists from Arkansas and surrounding states. There is also a children’s theatre that always has various children’s plays, stories, and performances running. The center is located in Little Rock’s MacArthur Park, another great attraction of the city as its oldest municipal park. It provides great scenery, a pavilion, and is also the home to the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History.
 
When in Little Rock, visitors definitely won’t have to scrounge for entertainment.
