The Twin Coves beaches in front of the house are among the nicest in the Bahamas. They are comprised of two beaches, each half a mile long, that meet at a sandy spit that connects to a small coral island (called "Bluff Cay") just offshore. The beach in front of the house is unique in that it is naturally protected both by the cay and the large reefs located about a half mile off shore. These two factors conspire to provide a tranquil place to enjoy a swim, and the placid waters next to the sandy spit are an absolutely ideal and very safe location for children or toddlers to play. Also the coral reefs that stretch away in all directions provide unlimited opportunities to explore with snorkeling or diving gear.
