Villa Viamonte is a classic Argentine house detailed with artisanal works representative of the regional culture of Mendoza. We are located in the heart of the old town of Chacras de Coria, now a neighbourhood of Mendoza. The villa is situated in Chacras de Coria, a chic, evolving rural town just ten minutes south of Mendoza's city centre, where fine traditional vineyard land abutts top-end residences. The new crowd, Mendoza’s modern business elite, are bringing with them an influx of fine dining establishments, art galleries, shops and the like.
Villa Viamonte is one of the region's great traditional homes - - over 10,000 square feet of well maintained living space on nearly 2 walled acres - - it is truly evocative of an era in Argentina.
A walled estate with automated, remote-controlled, electronic, full security entrance gates: 6,650m2 (~ 1.65 acres). Kept lawn and gardens with a selection of fruit trees including Fig, Lemon, Pomegranate, mature hardwoods, rose gardens and flowering shrubs. Children’s climber and play set.
The principal house (or villa), is approximately 55 years old, made of adobe with a steel infrastructure; retro-fitted with high-grade modern wiring and plumbing as well as central heating and air conditioning; renovated and refurbished in 2007 under the consultation of esteemed Argentinian architecto, Jorge Bobillo: approximately 550m2 (~ 6000 sq.ft.) Three arched gallerias (patios), and an arched cochera (car port) for six vehicles, are located on the perimeters of the villa.
On the southern extreme of the property, a quincho (traditional Argentine entertainment house): It has a well-equipped kitchen area and the capability to seat 120 people, banquet-style. (Ask for a separate quotation for events).
A 350,000 litre swimming pool: approximately 130m2 (70’ x 20’, and up to 12’ deep), with underwater night-lights.
The villa has 6 bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a king-size bed, has an full ensuite bathroom, and an attached dressing room that can also function as an additional bedroom for the balance of a small family.
A second bedroom with a king-size bed has a newly renovated 3-piece ensuite washroom.
The third, fourth and fifth bedrooms (one king, one double, and one with two twins) are all within a few meters of a large, newly renovated, 4-piece bathroom.
All rooms have heating, and air-conditioning and fine cabinetry closets are found throughout the house.
The spacious, comfortable living room has a high, traditional polished wood ceiling. A heavy, classic marble-topped dining room suite, made to seat up to twelve people, is surrounded by windows overlooking the estate and the northwest galleria. A quaint, separate breakfast room, an office/library, a pantry and a fully equipped kitchen round out the list of principal rooms.
In the central courtyard, located just off the kitchen and entirely surrounded by the house, there is a tiled cooking area with a built-in churrasquera barbeque, and a large, traditional, wood-fired brick oven.
Off the central courtyard are also located the laundry room, a utility room and a servicio washroom.

You'll fall in love with this place, just as we did! The grounds are quiet and comforting, the house is warm and easy and the setting is spectacular.
The villa is set up to offer as much or as little “service” as our guests wish. If you are independent types and enjoy doing things on your own, we respect that. If you want a hand with your adventures, our house manager will be there to assist, find, organize and book tours and services as needed.
Continental breakfast is served in the house each morning at the requested time of our guests with homemade preserves, local honey and typical Mendocino pastries and flat breads.
Enjoy the traditional “Argentine Mate” also served daily.
Daily maid service at the time requested by the guests.
