Brief Description: This charming, well maintained farmhouse, built over 100 years ago and recently renovated, enjoys a scenic location in the center of the Gallatin Valley. The home is surrounded by fields and pastures – there are horses in the pasture out back, and the owner will stop by once a day to gather eggs from the chickens (you will find a supply of fresh eggs in the fridge on your arrival). If any guests want to visit with the animals, the owner will be happy to show you around. Bozeman is just ten minutes away, while rafting, biking, hiking and all sorts of outdoor recreation are all within an hour if not closer. The home is approximately 2400 square feet, over two levels.
Bedrooms: The home has two bedrooms, plus an open loft bedroom over the kitchen area. The master bedroom with a queen size bed is on the main level. There is a full bathroom with a stall shower adjoining the master bedroom. This bathroom is also accessible from the kitchen. Upstairs is an open loft style room with a trundle bed that pulls out into two single beds. The third bedroom is off the loft room and has a queen size bed. There is one full bath on the second story shared by these two bedrooms. The bath has an old-fashioned clawfoot tub – great for an evening soak (there is no shower in this bath.) The home can accommodate six guests.
Kitchen/Dining area: The fresh, sunny kitchen has an island counter in the center with a couple of barstools for chatting with the cook. There is an electric range and oven, coffee maker with grinder, dishwasher, microwave, blender – and all the cookware and serving ware that you will need. There is a dining area off to the side that will seat up to six.
Living room: The living room features a gas-fired woodstove, a television with VCR and satellite service. There is also a stereo system which plays both cassettes and cd’s. There is plenty of comfortable seating for an evening movie or get-together.
