First Suite "Upper Deck"
Outside on the deck, or inside from the lovely picture window in the kitchen; with a cup of coffee at daybreak or a glass of wine at sunset, the bird's eye view of the harbour from this suite is spectacular. A "room with a million dollar view", the eat-in kitchen is a terrific space for cooking and sharing food and fun. The living room offers quiet relaxation, or for those with work to do, an adjoining alcove provides a desk. With three bedrooms (queen, and two doubles) there is plenty of space for private R&R.
Second Suite - Captain's Quarters
We have just removed the carpeting, revealing gorgeous hardwood floors in a log cabin or herring bone pattern.
We think you will feel like the captain of a fine ship in this lovely ground floor suite, especially seated in the fabulous glassed in porch on the waterside of the house. This glorious room provides wonderful vistas of the harbour, a perfect vantage point for watching boats, birds, the sunset or just absorbing the beauty of the water. Since this is a separate room, with a very cofortable double futon the captain may choose to bunk down here.
Alternately, the spacious master bedroom with a queen sized bed or a very comfortable double futon in the living room could be the sleeping quarters of choice. A large eat-in kitchen and a gracious dining room give lots of scope for enjoying that lobster or other bounty of the sea. Other spots for quiet relaxation are the living room or the old-fashioned verandah with sliding glass panels, adjustable according to the sea breeze or the Jacuzzi-style air whirlpool bathtub we have just had installed.
Each suite is totally equipped to be your "home away from home".

Rentals are by the week, from Saturday to Saturday (check in after 4 PM and check out before 10 AM). Rates vary from $500-$1,500 (Canadian) per week, depending on the length of stay and the time of year.
Senior's and long stay discounts may be available.
Deposit of one half the rental fee required in advance, VISA or MasterCard number for security and to hold the reservation.

Nearby Activities
Lunenburg itself is a delightful fishing village of about 2,500, designated a UNESCO world heritage site, and home port of the famous Bluenose. It provides many interesting sites and walks, such as the remarkable architecture of restored homes, the fascinating Fisherman's museum, sailing excursions, whale watch tours and carriage tours, as well as excellent restaurants and an interesting variety of shops. There are municipal tennis courts and a swimming pool. For your convenience, there is a complete grocery store a few hundred yards away, and the delivery boys will cheerfully bring your groceries (including that lobster!) right to the kitchen, free of charge. Lovely sand beaches are 5-10 minutes away. Lunenburg is a perfect location for exploring Nova Scotia. Halifax is only an hour away, and all of the wonders of the south shore villages and beaches are at your doorstep.
