Holidays Bring Good News for Vacation Rental Owners

Call the cleaning service and dust off the welcome mat. According to a recent consumer survey by Deloitte, almost 75% of travelers plan to travel as much or more this winter as they did last year. In addition, more than a quarter of those surveyed intend to spend more than they did last year.
Still on the fence about whether listing your property online is a good idea? According to Deloitte’s study, more than 57% of respondents say they often read consumer-written reviews or comments online related to travel and 41% have used mobile devices for travel-related assistance including reservations or obtaining information. More than a quarter have visited a travel-related company’s social media fan page like Facebook. And the best news for property owners – upper income households were the most active group among all three activities.
