ROADTRIP 2010 – Florida Panhandle
Roadtrip 2010 – Florida Panhandle or Bust!

Good afternoon everyone! It’s a gorgeous, sunny day in the Florida Panhandle as Mike and I continue our Scenic Rentals ROADTRIP 2010. A little breezy, but that just makes for some pretty waves on the gulf. Since we can’t be out in it today, we might as well get a good show as we drive along the coast!
Today we’ve hit Destin, Seagrove Beach, Seacrest Beach, Panama City Beach, and every little town in between. We’ve seen some absolutely amazing by owner vacation rentals that we’d love to be able to show our vacationers who are checking out Scenic Rentals. One in particular, Alys Beach, made Mike and I drool just a little bit. The buildings are perfectly white-washed and the pool area is unbelievable – the whole property looks like it’s located in Greece. Cross your fingers that the lovely ladies there decide to list with us… And the little town of Rosemary Beach almost made us just pull over and buy a property ourselves! Everything you need is right there, including some adorable cottages, shops, and its own Post Office.
We also saw some great places in Santa Rosa Beach. And Mike had some great conversations with owners and managers at Seagrove on the Beach, Royal Beach & Golf Resorts, and Beach Seekers, among others! Both the property owners and managers seem to be really excited about our new Facebook fan pages that we’re creating for each new property that lists on Scenic Rentals. Everyone’s heard of Facebook, but we seem to be one of the first in our industry to actually utilize it and spread the word about all of our owners’ amazing properties. To see a work-in-progress of what we’re doing, just go to Facebook and search for “Marco Island Vacation Rental.” Guess how many pages come up? Seriously, take a guess…One. Just one. And it’s ours! It feels great to know that we’re really getting our name out there – and not having to charge our property owners hundreds of dollars to do it.
We’d like to thank the Higgins family in Fort Walton Beach for their fabulous hospitality. You have an adorable Florida cottage and a fantastic hot tub – it felt great after all those hours in the car!
We’re hoping to make it to the eastern side of Panama City Beach tonight and then head towards St. Petersburg tomorrow. We’re passing through a lot of little spots that neither of us have ever been to, like Alligator Point, Apalachicola, and Shell Point – we’re pretty excited to venture into new territory.
