Palm Island Vacation Rental – 2 Beachfront Homes

We’ve Scene It! – 2 Beachfront Homes on Palm Island

Amy, Linda, and Mike on Palm Island

While we were in the Gulf Coast area, Mike and I had the pleasure of meeting one of our Scenic Rentals vacation rental owners on Palm Island. Linda McGeorge was kind enough to meet us at the ferry over to the island, pick us up in her golf cart, and take us to her and her sister-in-law’s beautiful twin cottages that overlook the Gulf of Mexico.

Both cottages have 3 bedrooms so there’s enough room for the whole family. And there’s a little walkway between the two, so if you have a really large family there’s still ample space! Both cottages also have a great living area, dining area, full kitchen, and balconies overlooking the gorgeous gulf waters. Linda’s porch is fully screened-in, while her sister-in-law’s is about halfway screened-in, leaving the other half to be a sun-drenched spot for reading or just relaxing. So whether you like sun or shade, you’re set!

And the views from these cottages are unbelievable. You literally just go down the stairs from the balcony and you’re steps from the ocean. A great thing about Palm Island is that you have to take a ferry to get there…so it’s wonderfully peaceful and calm. You can take your car over on the ferry, but pretty much all of the residents and vacationers just tool around in their golf carts. There’s no need to get anywhere fast on this island. And with only 200 residential homes, you’ not going to hit any traffic either!

We also loved the gorgeous sunset that we were lucky enough to catch but Linda, ever the wonderful hostess, apologized that it wasn’t up to the usual Palm Island standards. Don’t worry, Linda, we were definitely impressed! With completely unobstructed views of the western shores, you’re pretty much sure to capture an amazing sunset any day of the week.

We really enjoyed our time with Linda, who explained to us that the islands in the area are Little Gasparilla Island, Don Pedro Island, and Knight Island, but that they’re all kind of collectively known as Palm Island. Whatever it’s called, it was heaven to us!
