Well, Roadtrippers, Mike and I are enjoying the warm sunshine of the Florida Keys today. It’s an absolutely amazing day outside, which only makes me grateful that we aren’t home in Atlanta right now – we heard there was snow yesterday! In Atlanta! But luckily we have a fabulous job and we get to travel around talking to all the wonderful property owners and managers – and go places where it’s NOT snowing.
Speaking of wonderful property owners AND managers, we had the pleasure of meeting JoAnne and David Grego in Marathon, Florida. Not only do they own Island Breeze Realty, which has dozens of amazing vacation rentals, but they own a couple of them themselves! They were kind enough to let us stay in Anchor’s Escape, an incredible 4 bedroom/5 bath house right on the canal. That doesn’t impress you? Well, it also comes with a private pool AND sunken hot tub. Don’t be shy – I know you’re impressed now.
This house goes on for days, it seems like. In fact, get yourself a drink and a snack before you watch our virtual tour, cause you’re gonna want to get comfy before watching it. We didn’t want to skip a single detail of this house, including the rusty old anchor that is the vacation rental’s namesake – it’s over 100 years old!
But that’s the ONLY thing in Anchor’s Escape that’s old. Jo and David are currently putting all stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and there’s a TV in practically every room. You’re definitely not going to be without the comforts of home in this by owner vacation rental. There’s plenty of spacious areas for the family to gather together…and plenty of separate rooms for when they don’t! There’s even a bedroom that’s separate from the rest of the house – the perfect place to stick your teenagers who want nothing to do with the rest of the family.

Wow………what a great house for a family reunion (or a guys fishing trip). You can tell the owners take pride in their home. Great video ……..and the narrator is cute as a button!
